for Jackson - after sex plot
It's been a strange few days. Mac woke up to the island gone completely mad, with people changing ages and sexes and her own boyfriend had been a girlfriend and there was some strange fluidity in her sexual orientation that was more than a little unsettling.
Still, it's worked out so far and while she misses being with Jackson as she knows him, she isn't exactly going to break up with him (her?) over the lack of a penis. She'll just have to get used to life without it, if the island doesn't revert back to normal.
Right now, she's settled in bed with a book on current foreign policy; it's a new one by Vali Nasr that isn't even published yet when she's from and it's fascinating. She's making notes all in the margins and pities the poor soul who wants to read it afterward.
Then again, there are few on the island as passionate and nerdy about Middle Eastern diplomacy than she is.

"You know I will," he says, taking a moment to sort out the sheets so that they can slip between them before he guides her into his arms, pulling her in against his chest. He presses a kiss against her forehead.

"That was insane," Mac murmurs softly. "Absolutely insane. But I loved it. You always push me to places I don't expect I'll ever go."

"Glad that you trust me enough to let me, darlin," he says, stroking his fingers along her arm.

"I do trust you. Even if it's hard, sometimes, to trust," Mac says, kissing his bare shoulder lightly.
