It takes a few days before Mac is really able to put weight on her foot again and even still, it's not a sexy heel like she prefers and a flat little flip flop instead. Still, she's happy to just be walking on it and that means she can cash in House's raincheck. She still doesn't know what his first name is, at all, and finds that she's not really bothered.

She'd found him earlier that day and asked him to meet her at The Winchester, since it was closer, and that's where she is now, nursing a drink.

House smirked again and said, "More excellent feedback." He moved his lips to her neck, and his hand on her waist slid underneath her shirt.

"That's me, all about positive reinforcement." Mac feels his hand go up her shirt and she's more than all right with that. The only thing better would be if it were off but there's time enough for that later.

"More, deeper, harder, faster...all amazing words you'll keep hearing tonight."

"We might need to work on some expectation management," House said quietly as he trailed a finger across her stomach.

"Hmm? Remember, I'm an eternal optimist," Mac says, grinning at him. "However you like it, I'll probably like it. It'll work out."

Mac has had bad sex before, sure, but anyone who kisses like he does isn't going to be bad at it. She doesn't think so, anyway.

"Just reminding you that you're in bed with a cripple," House said quietly, and slid his hand farther up. "But I appreciate the vote of confidence."

"So? I'll be on top." Mac kisses him along his jaw and slides her lips up close to his ear. "I love being on top. You won't have to do a damn thing."

There was a bit of relief at that response, so House kissed her again, and even dropped his cane so that he could fumble with her shirt, trying to pull it over her head.

Mac twists a little to help him get her shirt off and once it is, she touches her hand lightly against a raised, ugly scar on her stomach.

"See? I'm not perfect either. That's my souvenir from Islamabad."

"Hot," House assured her, and then kissed her again, this time, snaking his hands around to her bra clasps. He had maybe a minute before his leg started killing him from standing like this, so he was making the best of it.

"I try," Mac counters. She doesn't know what she is and isn't allowed to mention as far as his leg goes and she's trying very hard to be polite about it.

"What's going to be easiest? It doesn't bother me...I'm just being practical about it."

House dropped his hands and sighed a little. "Okay, you take off the bra. I'm getting on the bed. Then you can join me."

And he sank onto it with a wince.

Mac grins at him a little and crosses over so she's standing close to the edge of the bed.

"How about I take off my everything and you just watch, hmm?"

"Oh I knew I liked you," House said with a grin. He made himself a bit more comfortable, sliding back on the bed.

Mac reaches behind her and unhooks her bra, twisting a little more than necessary so he does actually have something worth watching. She doesn't really have all that many layers for a striptease (and she's all legs and arms and not very graceful) but she can give it a good try. She drops it on the floor and tugs down the zipper on her skirt.

"Unfortunately my legs are probably the best part," she says, self-effacing and a little coy. "But what can you do?"

She wasn't perfect, no. She wasn't young and flawless and almost unreal, she was just a normal, real sort of lovely. And House had always found that very appealing.

"They're certainly better than mine," he quipped. "Come here, I'm dying to get my hands on you."

Mac blushes a little and crosses over to settle on the bed next to him. "Well, here I am all naked and exposed. Whatever will you do with me now?"

House twisted a bit to put both hands on her waist, and lifted her up to put her on his lap, facing him. His upper body strength was pretty impressive, considering.

Then without a word he started to kiss her neck again as he slid one hand down her chest, towards the junction of her thighs.

"See? And you thought I needed lowered expectations," Mac says warmly, voice trailing off into a sigh when she feels his hand slide down to her thighs.

"Mmm." His fingers slipped between her legs in truth. "This bit I can do."

"Uh huh." It's not the most eloquent response but he's distracting her and it feels really fucking good so she guesses he might forgive her for that one. If not, well, there was time for words later.

"It's good. Really good."

"It's this thing about, like... surgeon's hands," House murmured against her neck. He had one arm wrapped around her still to brace her there on his lap, and his other hand continued working between her legs, one finger sliding just barely inside her.

"Obviously I've been fucking the wrong professionals," Mac murmurs, letting her eyes drift shut so she can just concentrate on how she feels. "Lawyers are never this good."

House snorted in response to that, and then kissed her again, sliding a finger all the way inside her, his thumb simultaneously rubbing circles on her clit.

Mac thinks it's the kissing that makes all the difference. It's not like other men she has been with don't kiss but none of them seem to be as skilled or to like it as much as Greg seems to, which makes him interesting. Furthermore, it works her up in a way that nothing else really does. Of course, what he's doing with his hand doesn't hurt either.

She nips lightly at his lower lip. "Fuck, that feels good." There. Positive reinforcement at its finest.
