Mac has never been a sound sleeper since being embedded. Two years in a war zone made her wary of every footfall and every noise tends to rouse her. Worse still is the fact that she's not used to sharing a bed with anyone on a regular basis and this has become a bit of a learning curve.

She wakes up in a cold sweat yet again, heart racing. She rolls her eyes, completely annoyed with herself, and brushes a hand against Jackson's shoulder. "Sorry. Bad dream. Did I wake you?"

"I sound stupid," Mac protests. "When I try to talk dirty, I just sound stupid."

"You think I'd keep makin' you do it, if you sounded stupid?" he asks her, pulling his fingers away from her, for a second, sucking on one before he presses it against her again.

"Fuck my ass with your fingers and stretch it good," Mac spits out, squeezing her eyes shut. There. That should be enough, right?

"It's the accent," he says, pulling away from her to rummage in her bedside drawer. "And the way you blush when you say it. I reckon I could amuse myself all night just making you say filth. Reach back for me and spread your ass with your hands."
